The FitOne 5K and the FitOne 9K have separate start lines. The FitOne 9K merges into the original 5K course near the Boise Art Museum. Both races share the same finish line and finish line party.
The 5K is USATF Certified. What does USATF Certified mean?
"A USATF-certified course is a road race course whose distance has been certified for accuracy. Courses must be certified for any road running performance to be accepted as a record or to be nationally ranked. Furthermore, running a race on a certified course allows you to accurately compare your time to performances run on other certified courses because you can be sure the distances were the same. No one can truly establish a personal best if the course distance is not accurate." ~ USA Track and Field Website
Course enforcement and safety
Remember ALL persons on FitOne courses must be registered including all babies and children.
Participants must wear their race number on the front, outermost layer of clothing so that it is visible to all race personnel and city officials. Tiny Tots or any other children being pushed in a stroller may affix the race number to the outside of the stroller. IT MUST BE VISIBLE!
Stroller Safety is important to us:
- If you will be walking with a jogger or stroller, unless you are in the 5K Competitive Stroller wave you will need to register and participate in the Family Wave presented by Chobani (orange wave).
- Be courteous of other participants’ safety.
- WALK the entire course.
For liability reasons, those not registered and not wearing a race bib number will be asked to leave the courses on race day.
