2016 5K Map
COURSE DISTANCES - PLEASE NOTE:
With overwhelming participant feedback to eliminate the u-turn before the finish line, we have moved our finish line inside Ann Morrison Park. We have done everything possible to maintain the distance integrity of all three distance courses, but we are also at the mercy of where the roads and pathways fall. This leaves us a little short on the 5K course at approximately 2.9 miles.
FitOne is designed as a fun, family-friendly event for the community, and none of the three courses are certified by USATF.
***IMPORTANT!! When registering, please be sure that you are entering the CORRECT NAME and BIRTH DATE for ALL registrants (adults, free/paid children, teens). This information is critical for the packet pick-up process and for age group awards pertaining the 5K Red Competitive Wave, 5K Green Competitive Stroller Wave, 10K and Half Marathon ***
Course enforcement and safety
Remember ALL persons on FitOne courses must be registered including all babies and children.
Participants must wear their race number on the front, outermost layer of clothing so that it is visible to all race personnel and city officials. Children being pushed in a stroller may affix the race number to the outside of the stroller. IT MUST BE VISIBLE!
Stroller safety is important to us:
If you will be walking with a jogger or stroller, unless you are in the 5K Competitive Stroller wave, you will need to register and participate in the Family Wave (orange wave).
- Be courteous of other participants’ safety.
- WALK the entire course.
- For liability reasons, those not registered and not wearing a race bib number will be asked to leave the courses on race day.
Downtown Boise, intersection of Capitol Blvd & Bannock Street. BE AT YOUR START WAVE BY 9:00 a.m. The first wave begins at 9:30 a.m.
5K Start Line Notes
To participate in the same start wave as friends and family, make sure you ALL select the same wave on your registration. Absolutely no non-competitive wheels or baby joggers are allowed in any wave other than the Family Wave (orange wave).
Remember to enter your start wave from the back. Your race number must be visible on the front of your shirt.
FREE Race Day Shuttles powered by Peterson Auto Group
Shuttles will be offered from the Dillards parking lot at the Boise Towne Square and will begin running at 5:30 a.m. on race day. Please be mindful to park your vehicles near the outer perimeter of the parking lot to not disrupt business for all mall retailers. Friends and family members joining to cheer you on are welcome to ride the shuttles. ALL shuttle buses are able to accomodate strollers.
FitOne will not be offering a Nampa/Canyon County shuttle this year.
5K Medical Locations
Medical canopies are located at the start line, The Cabin: A Literary Center before you cross the Boise River, and inside Ann Morrison Park. St. Luke’s Sports Medicine is located at the finish line. Ada County Paramedics are located at the Boise Depot. Medical volunteers provided by Emergency Medicine of Idaho are located along the course and on ATVs for assistance.
Course entertainment showcases are provided for participant enjoyment by Townsquare Media.
The 5K water station is at the historic Boise Depot. Water is also available in Ann Morrison Park. If you need additional water, please carry it with you.
The FitOne.2 Course
The FitOne.2 is a shorter course. FitOne.2 is 1.2 miles and runs along the Greenbelt from the Boise Library to Ann Morrison Park. The FitOne.2 avoids the hill leading to the Boise Depot and rejoins the regular 5K course just prior to the finish line. Participants in competitive waves may not follow the FitOne.2 course if they want to qualify for an age group medal.
Finish Line - Keep Moving
As you cross the finish line, please keep moving until you are clear of the finish area and inside the park. Those who have crossed the finish line WILL NOT BE ALLOWED BACK ONTO THE RACE COURSE.
Breakfast is available for registered participants. Breakfast is generously provided for your enjoyment by our sponsors.
Reunite with your friends and family at the reunion area located in Ann Morrison Park. Look for flags with the first letter of your last name and prearrange with your family and friends to meet you there.
Parents, please check-in at the information tent nearest the finish line to reunite with your children. Lost children will be accompanied by an official event volunteer to the information tent for pick up by parents.
