Expo Volunteer Job Descriptions

Race Number Labeling: Ages 16+

Volunteers will help label all FitOne race numbers in preparation for Expo distribution. This job requires attention to detail! You will be sitting down for most of your shift.


Expo Move-In: Ages 18+

MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 25 POUNDS. Volunteers should be flexible; duties may include setting up signage, unloading vendor vehicles, pushing loaded carts, and setting up registration. You will be on your feet, so please wear sturdy shoes. For safety, no open-toe sandals or flip flops allowed. 


Expo Packet Pick-up: Ages 16+

Volunteers will greet participants, assist with new registrations, and distribute race bibs and t-shirts. You could be standing and/or sitting throughout your shift. As other needs arise at the Expo, you may be asked to assist elsewhere. Thank you for being flexible!  


Expo Directional: Ages 14+

Volunteers will greet and provide directional assistance and information to those attending the FitOne Expo. A cheerful disposition is desired. You could be both standing or sitting, inside or outside, throughout your shift.  


Expo Green Team: Ages 14+

Volunteers will assist in collection and sorting of recyclable materials from Expo vendors and attendees. Green Team volunteers help educate attendees at the point of disposal. You will also be responsible for trash and recycling transport to Boise Centre‚Äôs loading dock. 


RaceJoy App Ambassadors

Tech-savvy individuals will demonstrate the FitOne RaceJoy App and help race participants download the app to their phones at packet pick-up. Pre-Expo training will be required. You must be proficient using mobile apps and comfortable communicating with the public. This is a standing activity. 


FitOne Kids Area: Ages 16+

Volunteers will assist kids as they enjoy and navigate fun offerings in the Kids Area at the Expo. 


Expo Move-Out: Ages 18+

MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 25 POUNDS. Volunteers should be flexible; duties may include taking down signage, moving boxes/product to the loading dock, loading vendor vehicles, Green Team take-down, pushing loaded carts, and general clean-up. You will be on your feet the bulk of your shift, so please wear sturdy shoes. For safety, no open-toe sandals or flip flops allowed. Please note that most of this job is done outside, in the dark and near busy roadways.
