St. Luke's FItOne Family Field Day at the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

POSTED ON DECEMBER 11, 2017, BY SAMMY VELLA

Families don’t have to wait for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl kick-off to get into the spirit of the game. St. Luke’s FitOne Family Field Day is back on Friday, Dec. 22.

The healthy, family-focused pre-game activities take place on the practice field in the Caven-Williams Sports Complex at Boise State University. Competitors of all ages can test their skills in football drills where they will run, jump or throw like a Bronco. The fun includes obstacle courses, the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, an eye-black station, and photo booth with Santa Claus. Don’t worry, St. Luke’s Children’s Hospital and St. Luke’s Concussion Clinic will have staff on hand to make sure all the pre-game players are safe and having fun.

New this year, is the 40-yard dash competition. The five kids with the fastest times will get a chance to race on the field during the bowl game. The Potato Bowl has arranged to have groups of kids from the YMCA shuttled to the event, so the competition will be fierce.

The first 200 people through the door Friday receive a limited edition FitOne beanie. Free parking is offered at any of the Boise State garages when you bring a canned food donation.
